Hi,
I really look forward to installing V7...
I would like to test V7 by copying my existing V6 to a NEW directory,
including the database with new connection, and using this duplicate to
do an upgrade for TESTING PURPOSES ONLY before commiting to upgrading
the main system.
Should this cause any problem?
Tx,
Leon
, Hope the wedding went well. I have one this weekend.
I was successful at performing an upload. The free upload software was either not configure properly (probably) or not working. I downloaded the trial version of softartisan's upload (which is like over $300) and it started working.
Can more than one photo be uploaded at one time (like a whole folder full of photos) or does each have to be done individually? ,
It should be released sometime late May 2004 or early June 2004 but no gurantees as I am pretty busy right now with some projects.
There will be upgrade instructions and it should be a fairly easy upgrade.
Like I said no guarantee... I have a lot of things going on... it might not even be finished till the end of July... customers will always be able to get it for the difference in price
You have the version listed on the site when you purchassed it. Version 3.0 cwilliams38167.6469328704, Hello,
for an admin.. you view albums for a user.. make a new album... then click manage pictures
for a regular user you log in.. go to user user area.. create an album..then click on manage your albums , All can say right now is take a break and get away from it for a bit. All your going to do is stress yourself out more if you keep working on it.
There is probably a way to make it work but it may require days of fiddling around and reading articles and trying things and even then you may not get it working AND THEN ITS JUST A BAD IDEA ANYWAY. Like John says you are better off running it on a server that is not a domain controller. , While my host says the permissions are now correct....its still trying to download the setup ASP file instead of executing it.
I really need to get this application working asap too. I noticed the purchasing page said that install came free.....so any help would reaallly be great.
re , you would have to edit the application in visual studio.net.. change some things around and recompile the application... in the process figuring out how you want to handle all of that (probably combining the username and email fields just on the registration form then saving both values to the database)
very doable.. just not anything documented or supported as it is custimization
I do have a very nice article on the forums on how to set up a project in visual studio.net with the application.. it is in the forums, Seems as though changing the mail settings to "remote email server" did the trick. , Hello,
VBScript is the most popular ASP scripting language, and has the most support available. I estimate that less than 5% of the ASP coders out there use anything other than vbscript
That being said it specifically says on the aspprotect site ASPProtect is only for use in protecting asp using "vbscript" as the language.
http://www.aspprotect.com/more_info_full_v7.asp
http://www.aspprotect.com/comparison.asp
it is something I specified very clearly for this very reason.
Sorry, but you can not use ASPProtect to protect pages using Language="Javascript". The code is too complex to be mixed with server side Javascript.
To password protect asp pages written using "Javascript" you really need a an application specifically written in and designed to work with ASP pages written using "Javascript". And then of course that application would not be able to protect ".asp" pages written using "vbscript." (I mean never say never, but it would be a ton of work to get both working and I doubt you will ever see a commercial application that does both)
as for switching back and forth between vbscript and javascript you really can't except with very simple code. Doing so with anything complex can be extremely problematic because the order of execution sometimes gets all mixed up because of the complexity of the code being used.
That doesn't mean it can not work....
You would really want to do something like this.
do not specify a default language at the top
surround the aspprotect include file with this
<SCRIPT Language="vbscript">
</script>
surround your javascript code with this
<SCRIPT Language="JavaScript">
</script>
then make sure none the code including the aspprotect include file has any <% or %> tags in it
that means you have to remove that sort of thing everywhere... that means a lot of work if you used a lot of that sort of thing instead of response.writes to write out html type stuff
and again... I don't know if you would ever get it all working , I Dont know... it shouldnt do anything like that.
if it ever asks to download a aspx or asp page its generally a server configuration issue not related to the actual code
provided you arent trying to grab the injectbanner page through an iframe call which is only for use with the javascript method of calling banners , Got any info for me on this ?
Chris , Hi -
We are trying to set up ASPProtect 7 so that the user is redirected to a specific web page based on their group membership.
For example, immediately upon successful login:
Group 1 members are directed to page A Group 2 members are directed to page B Group 3 members are directed to page C
Users will only ever belong to one group.
We tried to use the Redirect_URL feature but it causes the browser to loop.
Could you let us know exactly how to do this. We are not ASP programmers and need to work from an example.
Thanks! , Just checked XML Parsing with your file. Got a clean bill of health on that: It's working.
Got the right code for the location of the ipn.asp in my paypal1.asp, from http:// all the way to .asp.
I think since everything is set up properly from the looks of things,
I'll wait and see. If I get another one who flubs things, then I'll
start the testing of the account. But if it goes through just fine,
then maybe the Internet just hiccoughed on the first guy... thanks
again!
, Did you ever figure out the process for VS2005?, I wonder why the banners in ASPBanner 8.1 are moving from one place to another when opening my site www.helserevyen.no in a Mac Safari browser and click on refresh?
Can you take a look at my site and response? , Upgrade from V6 to v7.x with an MSACCESS DATABASE
1st of all, backup your existing ASPProtect files and database before performing this upgrade. Please be really careful while performing this upgrade. Version 7.x is a highly advanced application compared to any previous versions. CJWSoft under no circumstances is responsible if you lose information or have website downtime.
BOTTOM LINE: (PERFORM THIS UPGRADE AT YOUR OWN RISK)
To do this upgrade you're going to need to have the Microsoft Access Application. To work with an Access .mdb file it can not be newer than the version of Microsoft Access you are running.
That being said, on with the upgrade..
Open you're existing Acccess Database up in Microsoft Access.. You should see this something like this.

By right clicking on then choosing rename Rename "Users" to "ASPP_Users" Rename "Groups" to "ASPP_Groups"
If you do not have a "Groups" table do not worry about it right now.
Now right click and DELETE the Config Table. Yes, delete it..
You should now see this. (with or without the "Groups" table)

Now, right click on "ASPP_Users" and go into design view. It should look like this.

Rename the "Password" field to "Old_Password" Be sure to spell it perfectly using the Underscore It will look like this.

Now scroll down to the bottom a bit It should look like this.

Now..
If you have a "Groups" Field... leave it alone If you do not have a "Groups" Field add one and make it a memo field.
Now, we are going to add a few more new fields.
Add a field called "Redirection_URL" make it a "text" field with 150 field size Add a field called "PayPal_Subscriber_ID" make it a "text" field with 100 field size Add a field called "Newsletter" and make it a yes/no field Add a field called "Password" and make it a "text" field with 100 field size
It should now look like this. (you do not need to worry about the field descriptions.. that part is optional and only seen when working on the database)

Now close that window and save the changes..
Your now going to open up another Access Database while still leaving the one you have on your screen open. You going to open up one of the new databases that came with v7.x. This database has some info we are simply going to copy and paste.
You'll want to open it and put it side by side on your desktop like so. (the old database is on the left.. the new one is on the right)

Now, for the fun part.
On the new database to the right.. right click on the "ASPP_Config" table and pick "Copy"
Then move your mouse over to the old database on the left. Right click in the open white area and click "paste"
It will ask you for a database name. Type in "ASPP_Config" Leave "Structure and Data" checked and hit OK
Your old database on the left should now have a nice new "ASPP_Config" table.
OK, now for the "ASPP_Groups" table
If you already have a "ASPP_Groups" table in your old database you are done.
If you do not have one your going to copy and paste the table from the New Database to your old database just like we just did with the "ASPP_config" table.
Your old database should now look like this.

Now, you are done upgrading your database from within Microsoft Access.
The existing passwords still have to be encrytped and moved from the "Old_Password" to the "Password" field
To that we have a special page we run in the application that will take care of that.
So, for now... go install the application, but using the database we just created. Follow these instructions for the most part... http://support.cjwsoft.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=181& ; ;PN=1
When you get to the part where you finally get into the admin area and need to make an admin account you will notice that your existing user database is there but none of the users have passwords if you look at them in the edit screen.
That is normal. Simply do what the instructions say and create and admin account using a username that does not exist..
Then log off... then back in as that new admin account. If that works you are ready to convert the passwords.
This part is very easy.
You want to run a special page via the browser.
http://www.mysite.com/password_admin/convert_to_encrypted.asp
Replacing the part in blue with your website info.
Once you get the page running you will see a login prompt and one form field just like before with the "get_me_in.asp" page
You will need to paste the "PasswordEncryptionKey" value that you used in the "config_inc.asp" file in the form field and hit enter.
If all goes well you will see a page telling you to click here to encrypt the passwords and copy them over.
So do what it says... dont click more than once and wait.
Eventually it should say it is finished. So go log in to the admin area of the system using the new admin account.
Now edit some users but dont save... you want to see if the passwords are showing up. If they are the conversion worked. If you see nothing or a garbled mess it did not work and you made a mistake during this whole process.
If things went well backup and delete the conversion file below.
http://www.mysite.com/password_admin/convert_to_encrypted.asp
You do not need it anymore.
Once you are positive every thing is running smoothly and everyone's passwords are ok you can go in and delete the "Old_Password" field as well.
If things didnt go well.. try again from scratch and go slowly. If they still dont go well get ahold of us for help.
We are here to help, but if you really want us to we can be hired to do the conversion. , that's they way it should be done..
the only other thing would have been to test everything with sql before trying to import any data.. and make sure all was fine at that stage
more info on the errors would be helpful.
Id' also carefully visually compare the SQL tables and fields with the SQL scripts and make sure all field types and settings got set correctly.
Also, make sure the user accessign the database has datareader and datawriter permissions of course. , ok, I just sent you a private message with download information.
replace you existing
"check_user_inc.asp"
"admin/check_admin_inc.asp"
"admin/email_user.asp"
with the new versions in the download
Do some testing to make sure that HANNAH password works ok for you.
Hopefully this cures the issue... If it works ok for you for a while I will offer the fixes to everyone and start using this code from now on
BTW: "admin/email_user.asp" had an unrelated bug in it that only happened if its error handling got triggered... it was posting back to the wrong page when that happened and causing an error , Chris,
D'oh! How completely obvious!
I got it now. (In Step 4, by the way, you need to click on the web site, not the directory. The directory has its own Properties menu, which is competely different than the Properties menu for the web site.)
Thanks for the fast response!
Robert
, Thank you so so much! I went to the admin area and changed the email component from CDOSYS (using remote server) to CDOSYS (using port 25 forwarding) and all is working great now!
Again, thanks! , Thanks Chris, I'm using the groups protect feature on my pages. None of them seem to close the session after clicking 'logoff'. I can tell because if I hit the back button and return to the group-protected page, hit 'refresh', the page refreshes, I'm not asked to log in again.
On the other hand, when I open a page that's protected by an access level and click 'logoff' (uses same logoff asp file to logoff), it seems to work fine - if I go back a page and refresh, it asks me to log in.
Just wondering - is anybody else having problems like this? Maybe I screwed something up in the few adjustments I made a while back. Any idea what it might be? , no, its part the concurrent login checking system.
currently when that is on logging off does not come into play.. (pretty much because it is such a complex system I wasnt able to make it quite that intelligent this time around)
when concurrent login checking is enabled the only way to log in again at another system with the same username and with a different IP is to wait till that time period is over
sorry
as you may recall it was rush feature at the last moment before I got version 7 finished. Hopefully I can improve on the feature in the next version but I dont really see it as being a big issue at the moment. Sometimes when you want maximum security you have to make some tradeoffs and that is why the feature is optional. , it might.. I might be wrong though as I guess that could still be an issue with access not being able to keep up.. and then the xml parser just isnt getting the page it is requesting in time, Hi Chris,
I tried changing using Notepad in the config_inc.asp
from:
If Application("SERVER_SOFTWARE") = "" Then Application("SERVER_SOFTWARE") = Request.ServerVariables("SERVER_SOFTWARE") End If
To
Application("SERVER_SOFTWARE") = "iis/6"
and the albums still do not show up under the categories
Rhona (rookie)
, I used Dreamweaver4 to make my site is there anything I can do to make it work? , I think you can either change some things in your PayPal account settings regarding your default currency..
or add a hidden variable to the PayPal form code ASPProtect uses like this guy did. http://support.cjwsoft.com/code/code_info.asp?TID=237&KW =paypal
The hidden form variable code would go next to all the other hidden variables in no particlar order.. just look through the paypal code in notepad till you find a bunch of those hidden form variables lines in a row. , Hi there...
I'm using the gallery script with ASPImage for uploading and resizing.
I bought this script and the componant for the the auto-thumbnailing
feature, and it is indeed uploading and resizing and creating a
thumbnail.
But the thumbnail is *tiny* at 64px wide. I need to change the width,
but I can't find anything in ASP Gallery or ASPImage to indicate where
that width is set. Can anyone help?
Thanks!
, This is great documentaion for windows script 5.6 in windows chm file format for jscript and vbscript.
We use server side vbscript in all our our ASP 3.0 applications so this info can be a lot of help.

cwilliams38401.6321990741, Chris: You are right about a little extra coding to make it work. I am still learning .ASP coding, so I did a little web searching and used IF THEN statments to confirm a member logged in with a valid Access Code. If valid, the protected page executes, with the Member's Name and Access Level on a single line at the top of that page. Looks sharp! If not logged in, or a non member (who found the page via Google), I used a Redirect to send s/he to a login page with optional links as you suggested (http://www.vspa.com/aspprotect/vspa-password-failed.asp) . I couldn't get it to work when using Group Access, but I am sure that is just because I am a novice at .ASP (I will post that example when I figure it out). Meanwhile, here's the code I used that works:
<%@ LANGUAGE="VBSCRIPT" %> <!--#INCLUDE FILE="dataconn_inc.asp"--> <!--#INCLUDE FILE="check_user_inc.asp"--> <!--#INCLUDE FILE="config_inc.asp"--> <% =Session("First_Name") %> <% =Session("Last_Name") %>: <% If Session("Access_Level") = "6" Then Response.Write "VSPA Active Member Access Level 6" End If If Session("Access_Level") = "7" Then Response.Write "VSPA Life Member Access Level 7" End If If Session("Access_Level") = "8" Then Response.Write "VSPA Officer/Staff Access Level 8" End If If Session("Access_Level") < "6" Then Response.Write "Access Level 1-6 NOT AUTHORIZED RESTRICTED AREA ACCESS" Response.Redirect("vspa-password-failed.asp") End If %><!-- http://www.vspa.com/aspprotect/vspa-password-enter.asp --> <!-- *** End ASPProtect Code *** --> <html> <head>
, 5 Computers in an office, random hardware and operating systems. Some wireless some wired - all the same ISP connection.
Some users do not see the PLACE A NEW AD hyperlink. How can this be hidden? There is no conditional statement yet some see it and others don't.
To make this problem even more confusing if I take an image and put the place_new_ad.asp hyperlink on that image the users don't even see that image any longer.
How can this be resolved? , Simply not possible, that feature is one of the most complicated things I have ever coded. I am very serious when I say that. There is simply no way to make it do that without spending like 80+ hours on the code and even then I do not know how it would work. There is some very slick stuff going on there and there is no simple way to change it like that. , I just told you a lot of different things to try... and I doubt you have tried them in the time since I mentioned them , I'm trying to use CDOSYS.
It seems to work fine on the web page, however the mail never gets delivered.
I can see my messages sitting in c:\inetpub\mailroot\pickup but they never leave it.
I found another folder after doing a search for "pickup".... it is: d:\program files\Exchsrvr\Mailroot\vsi 1\PickUp If I paste the files into there, they get delivered.
How can I get the email to be delivered without doing the cut and paste?
I've tried it both with and without authorization.
I am running a Windows 2000 server with Exchange 2000.
Thanks. , Okay, I did that, now I get:
Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a004c'
Path not found
/aspprotect/password_admin/upload_post.asp, line 292 , Editing using Visual Studio.NET
Here are directions for editing the application using Visual Studio.NET 2002 or 2003 version.. either should work
Some of you are wondering why I didnt just give you the project files. It is best you go through this process and really understand what is going on. Also, I dont use VS 2002 so I wouldnt be able to give you project files that would work with that. Not to mention there is 100% chance my prject files wouldn't work for you anyway because of path differences and other things.
Anyway.. on with the instructions...
1st.. make sure IIS, ASP.NET, .NET Framework, and Visual Studio.NET are all installed correctly and up to date.
Open Visual Studio.NET
File - New Project
Select a New Visual Basic ASP.NET web application.
give the new web to be created a name.. I called mine "aspprotectdotnet"

Hit Ok..
Now. once the project opens up we need to delete a few things in the solution explorer window.
So delete "webform1.aspx" , "deletestyles.css", "Global.asax", "AssemblyInfo.vb", and "web.config"
Basically all the files under the project...
Now... you should have the aspprotect.net files unzipped somewhere on you hard drive...
open that folder and select all the files and folders like so

Now drag those selected files and folders to the solution explorer window of Visual Studio.NET right on to the name of the web. In my case "aspprotectdotnet"
It might say this folder already contains a folder names Bins.. just tell it to copy over and continue on any prompts like that.
You'll notice your project is now populated.
Open up the references tab in the solution explorer window as we need to add some references to the dlls in the bin folder of this project. This is needed so the compile process and function correctly.
Right click on references.. click add reference Then browse....browse on your hard drive to the location of the new web and the bin folder within it.
In my case... "C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\aspprotectnet\bin"
Choose "aspprotectlicense.dll"
Hit open...
Now do the same thing again until you have added all the dlls in that bin folder to the references..
Now.. click add-references again and this time choose "system.management" from the choices in the .NET tab
Once all of that is done your references should look like this

Now in the Visual Studio.NET menu system up top..
Choose Build - Build Solution
If you did everything right you will see something like this in the build window
------ Build started: Project: aspprotectdotnet, Configuration: Debug .NET ------
Preparing resources... Updating references... Performing main compilation... Building satellite assemblies...
---------------------- Done ----------------------
Build: 1 succeeded, 0 failed, 0 skipped
You now have the visual studio side of things all set up.
To make the project actually run we now have to set some permissions and edit the web.config file.
Using windows explorer browse to the web the app is in. Right click on the "_database" folder and give that folder and all the child folders within it. Modify permissions for both the Anonymous webserver account and the ASPNET account. These accounts might not show up until you dig into the advanced tab and click find now to show all the accounts on the machine.
Permissions screen looks like this...

Once that is done go back the solution explorer window in visual studio.
Open the docs folder.. right click on "sysdiag.aspx" and choose view in browser.
It should complie the project again.. and then run that page in either the internal or external browser depending on how you have that set up.
That page will report back path information. "BTW.. for security reasons this page should be removed from any production server after installation is complete.. this is very important" In my case it looks like this.
Probabale AppRootPhysicalPath c:\inetpub\wwwroot\aspprotectdotnet
Probabale AppRootUrlPath http://localhost/aspprotectdotnet
Probabale Path to Access Database c:\inetpub\wwwroot\aspprotectdotnet\_database\aspprotectnet2 002.mdb
Now we need to edit the web.config file... your going to need to know some of the path information above.
In solution explorer double click on web.config.
Now edit the AppRootPhysicalPath, AppRootUrlPath, and CN keys accordingly.
In my case they will look like this.
<!-- PATHS USED BY THE SYSTEM --> <add key="AppRootPhysicalPath" value="c:\inetpub\wwwroot\aspprotectdotnet" /> <add key="AppRootUrlPath" value="http://localhost/aspprotectdotnet" />
<!-- MICROSOFT ACCESS KEY --> <add key="Cn" value="Driver={Microsoft Access Driver (*.mdb)};Dbq= c:\inetpub\wwwroot\aspprotectdotnet\_database\aspprotectnet2 002.mdb;Uid=admin;Pwd=" />
Now.. because our web is really not in the root of our virtual directory which starts at "inetpub/wwwroot" we need to edit another tag in this file.
Find the forms tag near the bottom.
<forms name=".aspprotect~net" loginUrl="/aspprotectlogin.aspx" protection="All" timeout="60" path="/" />
Change it to say this
<forms name=".aspprotect~net" loginUrl="/aspprotectdotnet/aspprotectlogin.aspx" protection="All" timeout="60" path="/" />
Notice tha part in bold that we added.
Now, you may also want to check the temp license key info while you are in that file and make sure it is not expired but I am not going to get into that here.
Now save and close that file and do a compile again.
In solution explorer open up the "aspprotectadmin" folder. Right click on default.aspx and click browse
You should see the login prompt in your web browser..
Log in with
admin temp
all lower case
You should see the users screen of the application,
Click on the system info tab up in the top left... make sure all those paths are correct and save it.
Go to the settings page of the admin area. Make sure all those paths/settings are correct and save it.
Congratulations... you just set up a visual studio web project from scratch and our now ready to edit and compile an advanced web application.
From here on your on your own, but feel free to ask questions in the forums as you will probably get help from myself or others who own the software.
One last thing... because we are not in the true root of the web on the development machine the examples in the example folder will need the reference to the "protectpage.ascx" file modified before they will work
It will need to go from
Src="/protectpage.ascx"
to
Src="/aspprotectdotnet/protectpage.ascx"
If this app was installed in the true root of a domain on a real webserver.. you would not have to edit the forms tag in the web config file or change the paths in the examples as they would be correct the way they came , I will actually explain how to set access_levels and/or groups...
in "users/add_new_account.asp"
carefully edit with a text editor
find this part
CmdAddUser.Fields("Access_Level") = "4"
that is where the acess level gets set...
you can change the level or remove that line all together if you dont want one set
now for groups you would add this line in the same area
CmdAddUser.Fields("Groups") = "*3*"
or
CmdAddUser.Fields("Groups") = "*1*,*2*,*3*"
Groups access for a user is stored in one field in the database like you see above. If you are confused what you should be saving in that field I suggest simply setting a user to whatever groups you want via the admin area and then looking in the database to see what got saved in that field. It's pretty simple really how they are stored.
*1*,*5*,*9*
that user would be a member of groups 1,5, and 9 , Please Note : Users with the option pack a new feature called groups that is much more powerful than access levels.
More On Access Levels
Again, Examples of managing Access Levels are provided in the "multiple_access_levels" folder included in the root of the Password System. Look at the source code of the ASP pages in that folder with a text editor to see the working code.
Access Levels and how they work can be re-coded to work in many different ways. However, you have to be a good ASP developer to make changes to it. Here is some information on how they work by default and also info on an alternate scenario we have provided.
In the "check_user_inc.asp" that comes in the root of this system Access Levels works as follows.
Level 1 has Access to - Level 1 Level 2 has Access to - Level 1,2 Level 3 has Access to - Level 1,2,3 Level 4 has Access to - Level 1,2,3,4 Level 5 has Access to - Level 1,2,3,4,5 Level 6 has Access to - Level 1,2,3,4,5,6 Level 7 has Access to - Level 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 Level 8 has Access to - Level 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 ADMIN has Access to - Level 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,ADMIN
The "check_user_inc.asp" included in the "extras" directory is an example of changing the access level checking code to work differently. In that "check_user_inc.asp" Access Levels works as follows.
Level 1 has Access to - Level 1 Level 2 has Access to - Level 2 Level 3 has Access to - Level 3 Level 4 has Access to - Level 4 Level 5 has Access to - Level 5 Level 6 has Access to - Level 6 Level 7 has Access to - Level 7 Level 8 has Access to - Level 8 ADMIN has Access to - Level 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,ADMIN
If you get creative you can create some interesting access level checking scenarios.
Here is some additional info..
If the access levels are too restrictive you can ignore them all together and create your own totally custom solutions. Here is a quick rundown of some of the things you can do.
Ok... so if you want to be really specific about what each user can see and can't .. here's an example of what you can do
Don't use the access levels before the include file.. Don't worry about what you set a user to in the admin area since the access levels won't be used.
Do something like this..
Every time a user logs in session variables are set that you can access at any time.. thus allowing you to know who they are.
So you could do something like this...
<%@ LANGUAGE="VBSCRIPT" %>
<!--#INCLUDE FILE="check_user_inc.asp"-->
<% If Session("USERNAME") = "bob1267" or Session("USERNAME") = "carl45" or Session("ADMIN") = "True" Then Session("PASSWORDACCESS") = "Yes" Else Session("PASSWORDACCESS") = "No" Response.Redirect(Request.ServerVariables("script_name")) End If %>
The following URL explains what Redirects are. http://www.powerasp.com/content/code-snippets/redirects.asp
That would in effect create totally custom access levels.. but you would have to do it manually for each user.
You can also do things like this after a person logs in
Show custom html to any specific user based on either their username or access level ... like so
say there was a menu and a certain link should only show up to username "paully67"
you could do something like this
<HTML> <HEAD> <TITLE></TITLE> </HEAD> <BODY>
<br> <a href="main.asp">Home Page</a> <% If Session("USERNAME") = "paully67" Then %> <br> <a href="paullys_page.asp">Pauls Stats Page</a> <% End If %> <br> <a href="links.asp">Links Page</a>
</BODY> </HTML>
Or you can show custom HTML or links based on Access Levels or any other info.
You can do just about anything with if-then statements and using the built in vbscript functions..
Hopefully this info will help to give you some ideas...
Bottom line is you have to do some work within your site to make the Access Level system really come alive. cwilliams38114.6506712963, I would also double check that you changed the field size correctly and on the correct database that is being used in the connection string
, Okay, thanks, I'm going to change the method tonight and see if it makes a difference
