Ive heard that IIS creates a new session when a browser uses non secure (http) protocol to reach a page and then uses a secure (https) protocol to reach another page on the same web project.
The reason was that the server sees them as separate directories since one uses http and the other uses https. The server then creates another session and resets all session variables.
Ive tested this out on IIS 4.0 and also on IIS 5.0 and I havent been able to reproduce the situation.
I appreciate any insight you can provide. Thank you.
