Well first I want to say, that is the prettiest darn error handling I have ever seen ;)
Your update statement is fine, that can't be
the problem. Check your database. Are you
trying to update a foreign key that doesn't
match a constrant? Are you attemping to put
a string that is to long into one of your fields?
Just tossing these out, there could be a 1000 reasons for the error, but its surely not in
your update statement itself.
