I am building a knowledgebase system that connects to Index Server, searches IS for related files, and builds a SQL statement to query a database and return a result set.
In Index Server (using it like a database, not using idq and htx files), I want to allow AND/OR operators and wildcard searches. By using FREETEXT, my search results are too vast. With contains, the AND/OR is read as part of the string. Does anybody know the syntax for this?
Also, does anybody know of a good resource for Advanced Index Server discussions. I can't find many resources (either on the web, or in book form).
