I just got Visual Studio 6.0 Professional Version mainly for Interdev. Unfortunately, not having read the fine print in all my research, I did not realize that the live database interaction and Data view is not available in the Pro version, only the Enterprise version($1000 upgrade). Looking at other tools, I read good things about Drumbeat 2000 (only $249 for another week, then $399). Has anyone used both? Is one better than another? Are the tools in IntDEV 6.0 without Data view equal to Drumbeat 2000? I haven't been able to learn much about IntDev 6.0 because all the ASP books I have were detailing 1.0 and I didn't know it. If I learn all about Interdev Pro , would Drumbeat still be better? Or is the answer to spend the $1000 and upgrade to Enterprise version? I am a single person devlopment company, but I do have other people do data base entry for me on other computers. Input from anyone familiar with either (or especially both) of these products would be greatly appreciated.
