First, I want to thank everyone who has responded to my postings. Thanks a bunch big guys!

Now Ive decided to open a bigger can of worms.

My ISP didnt like the idea of my Password ASP page primarily because I created a folder in my web called: _database.

He suggested that I should put it in the cgi-bin folder.

Well, first of all, there are no national defense secrets Im trying to protect. I did this just to see if I could get it to work and Im not about to go and fix something that aint broke!

However, I am trying to set up a SECOND password ASP page, only this time I placed the database in the cgi-bin folder and modified the Global.asa file to show a second MS Access 97 database connection.

I edited the Global.asa file using MS Visual InterDev. That is I used it to set the Database Connector to write the script and then went in with Notepad and finished hardwiring the code to fit the server and the folders/data paths.

Anyway (Im trying not to get long-winded here folks)I keep getting this "Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error 80040e10" message.

Microsofts Knowledge Base article located at:

says quote: "This error occurs only with Microsoft Access when one of the column names specified in a select statement does not exist in the table being queried" unquote.

This doesnt make sense because all the columns in the database that is currently working are in my new database. However, I did populate the new database with some additional columns simply to be able to store some additional user information primarily as a backup in case I have an unrelated database that contains a duplic
