I have attempted to do that same thing. I also had the same problem. Server B needs to grant rights to server A to login into the database and the shared directory. It does not recognize your login, it is seeing server A as being the identity login for the Access Db. Another suggestion would be to be the Access Db on the web server and linking the other server to it. For some reason, only using the server.MapPath command would work on my webpage. Trying to enter the path directly ex."d:\web\db2.mdb" returned the same error.
