Ive created a small prototype COM component using VB6. Its created as an ActiveX DLL with a small ASP script to execute it. When I run it on my workstation (NT4 SP4 PWS and MTS) everything works fine. Then I installed it on my server. Its NT4 (SP4 and Option Pack), things are way different. Every time I run it, the browser times out, the WWW and the FTP (sometimes SMTP) services crash. Looking in the NT Event log shows some obscure WAN message followed by WWW and FTP no longer able to find the server. I have to restart both services manually. Im able to run the banking demo that comes with MTS just fine. So Im at a loss. I think the demos working shows that my MTS installation is fine. Plus the COM objects working locally under PWS shows (perhaps) that my ActiveX DLL is MTS aware and that ASP script is OK. Any ideas and help would be greatly appreciated.
