IIS - Session_OnEnd - global.asa question |

When a user closes down the browser via "X" or Alt-F4 - I see that the Session_OnEnd method in my global.asa fires - but the the VB com object that I hold with a "session" object is not released. I would expect the session to be destroyed at this point - thus destroying my com object. If I do a session.abandon - no problem. If I let the app time out and - no problem. Now - awhile ago - somebody at MS indicated to me that this problem would be fixed in IIS 5.0 - it does not appear to be so. Any ways around this?
Thanks.
