It doesn't matter that the admin says he didn't change things.
Sometimes permissions get lost depending on things the admin has done to the server.
Like re-installing frontpage extensions... etc etc
who knows... It used to happen at the ISP I worked at a lot before the Admins got better at doing their jobs.
The admin should check them for you. It takes like 15 seconds for the admin to check.
It's really silly not to check that.
Because I would say 99% that write permissions have been lost on the database for the anonymous webserver account.
