We are able to read a metadata of an online page of the intranet url using an asp code. But we have faced a problem in reading the metadata of a page outside intranet.The organization we are working on has its own server to the internet ,so we have supplied ower user name and the password as a gateway to the internet to the function(objXMLHTTP.Open("GET",url,false,"username","password")to access the web page of a remote server and able to read the metadata of that page from its html source code.An error message "the server name or address could't be resolved"apppeared.The organization has firewall.What sall we do to access the metadata of the page outside the intranet. please try to help us we need it very badly. |
