I tested the product a few years ago; I don't remember exactly its name, but it had a server side filter which worked with the "compiled" asp-pages; our tests at that time where not that good, and it had the disadvantage that you had to install additional services on the machine;
so we choosed another way, with which we are always working with fine results; we simply create a dll which contains all the "business logic" of the intranet application, and on the asp-page there are only requests to the dll-function; on this way, the customer, which helds the server in his own house does know nothing about the way business logic is solved, but has only usual html-code with a few requests to the dll;
another way is to use dhtml-projects or active-x documents, the final customer sees then almost nothing (but they are not so easy to mantain for bigger applications) |
