I wanted to give a few hints on how to get better answers to your questions, and save some people from feeling abused that answer questions here often (and they all seem to be good scripters, you don't want to run them off the page). please before you even ask a question, go threw this little check list in your mind.
1) Look it up in the help files
2) Look it up in a book
3) Try, try and try again
4) Look at other related posts
5) Post your code
6) Post your error message
7) Make your question clear
I have found that 90% of the time, the answer to a question is found in step 3 with some help from 1,2 and 4. If you make sure you do step 3, you will save others from answering questions you could have figured out on your own. I'm not gripping, and actually I enjoy answering questions for the most part. It just seems people are skipping critical steps, like all of them ;) |
