Im using Access and ASP/IIS3 to run a database over an intranet. Basically,
queries are made to the database and the results are outputted as ASPs.
Im having problems when the search criteria entered isnt in the database. Everythings
fine for data that is in the database, and Im using Javascript to check that the form has
some search criteria entered when the submit button is pressed.
The problem is that if you run the query and it cant find any matching data, it still returns
the ASP template (ie. you get blank tables).
For eg. If i enter a serial number that is in the database, it comes back with "results for serial
number", then all the tables with headers and the actual data from the database.
When I enter a serial number that does not exist, I just want a message "not found", with no
blank tables.
Any ideas?
