Delayed Change Recognition Problem |

I have been fighting this annoying problem for about a year now.
Using mdbs via ODBC, sometimes the change from one DB command is *not recognized* by the next command. It is as if it puts changes into a buffer, and updates the original on its own sweet time.
I have tried transactions, timed delays (wastful on CPU), closing and setting to "nothing", but nothing seems guarenteed to work. (transactions sometimes reduce the likelyhood, but not guarenteed.)
I am about to write a poll loop that keeps reading until it sees the fricken change appear.
I have posted the problem on newsgroups without results.
Thanks in advanced. (Whoever solves this is a true wizard of IIS/Jet guts and gets an A+.)
