Retrieving data from the dat file and getting it running on the other SQL server is not easy. It requires direct access to the new SQL server and a lot of cobbing with files and what not.
You might want to ask this question in the microsoft newsgroups. My links section has links to it.
They should have done a backup file for you... and then you could have done a restore on the new server.. much easier and I bet the file would have been no where near as large in size. |
