I too have tried to do this but I found it was not possible. Reading the Access help lead me to the conclusion any I/O operations will not work via Stored Procedure calls to Access thru ADO [which is a shame :( ]. Only SQL commands such as INSERT INTO etc can work. At that point I gave up and created a macro and executed it via command line parameter. Hope this helps a little.
PS I have tried I/O commands with MS SQL server, ADO and Stored procedures and this works fine so long as your NT permissions are setup correctly.
