In order to send Email using ASP, there needs to be some SMTP mailer program capable of taking commands from ASP. If your server is equipped with Microsoft Personalization System, then you can send mail using the SendMail Component.
If you have enough access to the server to install programs or components, I reccomend using Persits ASPEMAIL (http://www.aspemail.com/). The site contains detailed instructions on how to send mail using their free component.
If you have a money to spend, try ServerObjects ASPMAIL (http://www.serverobjects.com/). Its a little easier to use and makes long complicated emails possible.
If your server is not equiped with any of these, and you donot have access to the server... Im afraid you are S.O.L... try another server.
(shameless self-promotion : Synergi Interactive Technologies offers all three methods of ASP emailing. www.synergi-it.com) |
