Considering the way Paul Tagliabue is leaving things for him, the chances of that are very good, indeed. The former league intern who worked his way up to become Tagliabue's top aide was chosen Tuesday to succeed his former boss.

Patriots' Bruschi out with broken wrist (AP)
New England Patriots linebacker Tedy Bruschi has a broken wrist and will not play in any preseason games, coach Bill Belichick said early Wednesday through a team spokesman. Bears' Benson expects to miss 2-3 weeks (AP)
