Quarterback Patrick Ramsey signed a contract Monday to be the backup to Jay Cutler with the Denver Broncos. The 28-year-old free agent who was cut by the New York Jets this month. The Broncos also released defensive end Courtney Brown, the No. 1 overall draft pick in 2000 who has a history of knee troubles.

Giants sign Texans' Leach to offer sheet (AP)
Fullback Vonta Leach signed an offer sheet for a four-year contract with the New York Giants on Monday. The Houston Texans, Leach's current team, have seven days to match the deal, worth more than $7 million. If they don't match, Leach becomes a Giant. "It's a good deal for a fullback," agent Ralph Vitolo said.

Lions sign free agent WR McDonald (AP)
The Detroit Lions signed Shaun McDonald to a two-year deal Monday, reuniting the free agent wide receiver with former Rams coach and current Detroit offensive coordinator Mike Martz. In four seasons with St. Louis, McDonald had 106 receptions for 1,215 yards and four touchdowns. He agreed to terms with Detroit last week, and the signing was announced Monday.

Jacksonville Jaguars safety Gerald Sensabaugh was arrested early Monday morning and charged with speeding and carrying a firearm without a permit. Sensabaugh, 23, was pulled over at 12:06 a.m. after an officer spotted his 2006 BMW driving 86 mph in a 55 mph zone, police Sgt. David Moore said. Jets re-sign starting RT Clement (AP)
The New York Jets re-signed offensive tackle Anthony Clement on Monday. Clement, entering his 10th NFL season, was an unrestricted free agent. He started every game at right tackle for the Jets last season, providing a veteran presence on a young offensive line that included rookies D'Brickashaw Ferguson at left tackle and Nick Mangold at center.

The New England Patriots signed free agent cornerback Eddie Jackson on Monday. The Patriots did not disclose the terms of the contract. Jackson, who spent the last two seasons with the Miami Dolphins, had six tackles in 14 games last year. The 6-foot, 200-pound cornerback signed with Carolina as an undrafted free agent out of the University of Arkansas in 2004.

The New York Rangers signed veteran defenseman Jason Strudwick on Monday.
