Former OL Ernie Wright dies at 67 (AP)
Ernie Wright, an offensive lineman for the San Diego Chargers and Cincinnati Bengals who was a three-time AFL All-Star, died of cancer Tuesday night. He was 67. Wright was a rookie with the Los Angeles Chargers in 1960, the team's inaugural season. The Chargers moved to San Diego in 1961, and Wright remained with them through 1967.

Raptors F Bargnani has appendectomy (AP)
Toronto Raptors forward Andrea Bargnani had an appendectomy on Wednesday, and is expected to be released from a hospital in the next few days. No timetable was set for the return to the court of Bargnani, the No. 1 pick in the draft, who is averaging 11.5 points and 3.9 rebounds off the bench for Toronto.

Chris Bosh made up for the loss of Andrea Bargnani by outplaying fellow All-Star forward Dwight Howard. As Edmonton's losses pile up, it's getting tough for Oilers coach Craig MacTavish to find any positives. The Oilers have lost 12 straight after they were routed 5-1 by the Avalanche on Wednesday night.
